Stuff From My Garden
Asides from crocheting, I love doing some gardening and currently, I do have a flower bed to help out the bees around the neighborhood. The town I live in (technically it is a city, but it's so small compared to where I previously lived that this place is a town and I will continue to call it that until its population hits a certain count) has a few beekeepers and locals who grow vegetables and fruit either in orchards or farms. I'm a big fan of having that stuff and this is me trying to do my part in helping the bees pollinate. A big plus and bonus is having beautiful flowers and smells in the spring and summer.
Here's what I have currently in my flower garden:
- Lilac
- Poppy
- Hibiscus
- Lupine
- Lavender
Daisy, my dog, enjoying some gardening with me - Periwinkle
- Tulips
- Iris
- Daffodils
- A variety, but mainly the ones listed above
- Honeysuckle
- Grape Hyacinth
- Artemisia (silver mound)
Other plants in my garden are:
- Sage
- Thyme
- Rosemary
- Chives
- Japanese Maple
- Acorn
- Lemon Balm
- Catnip
- Chamomile
